Gateways Chamber Players at Carnegie Hall

MADONNA

Having had to postpone her 40th anniversary “Celebration” tour due to a bacterial infection, Madonna has been given a clean bill of health and rescheduled dates begin Saturday (10/14) in London. The tour stops in NYC for six shows: December 13, 14, and 16 at Barclays Center, and January 22, 23 and 29 at Madison Square Garden.

††† (Crosses), the duo of Chino Moreno (Deftones) and Shaun Lopez (Far), just released their new album Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete. today (read our review in Notable Releases), and they’ve also announced an extensive North American tour for 2024, following the select shows they’re playing in NYC, LA, and San Francisco this fall.

MIKE

Rapper MIKE just surprise released a new album and announced a 2024 tour. Before that, he’s opening for Earl Sweatshirt & The Alchemist.

TIRZAH

Tirzah was scheduled to be on a short North American tour now, but she’s been forced to cancel after developing pneumonia.

BEACH FOSSILS / TURNOVER

Beach Fossils spent the summer opening for Post Malone and they’re gearing up for their fall headline tour with Turnover that wraps up in NYC at Knockdown Center on November 30.

ROGER ENO

Roger Eno, ambient composer and brother of Brian Eno, released the skies, they shift like chords this week via Deutsche Grammophon, and he’ll play rare US shows in 2024 in support.

UPCHUCK (HEADLINE SHOWS, OPENING FOR FAYE WEBSTER)

Atlanta punks Upchuck released their new album Bite the Hand That Feeds today via Famous Class, and they’ll play a hometown celebratory show tonight at Aisle 5. Next week they’ll begin their opening slot for Faye Webster that includes three NYC shows at Brooklyn Steel on October 23-25.

A. SAVAGE (PARQUET COURTS)

Parquet Courts’ A. Savage will celebrate the release of his new solo album in Ridgewood, Queens with a free acoustic show before his tour starts next week.

INDIGO GIRLS

Veteran folk duo Indigo Girls have added holiday dates to their tour schedule, including a show at NYC’s Webster Hall on 12/4. All dates are here.

DAR WILLIAMS / AMY RAY BAND

Meanwhile, Indigo Girls’ Amy Ray will be on the road with her solo band for a West Coast tour with Dar Williams in early 2024. Stops include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and more.

BROOKLYN FOLK FESTIVAL

The Brooklyn Folk Festival holds its 15th edition this year on November 10-12 at St Ann’s Church and features a 75th annivesary celebration of Smithsonian Folkways and anthologist Harry Smith. Check out this year’s lineup and schedule.
